If I were to buy a new LG Optimus V today and wanted to activate it, how much will I have to pay at the end of the activation if I choose the $25/month plan? Will I have to pay for my first month today? Will I have to pay anything today?

You just buy the phone and pay nothing to activate it. You can do this by phone or online. Once activated you will need to buy a 25 dollar top up card then add it to your account. Once the money is added you will buy the 25 dollar plan which is good for one month
