What should I do if I am going to purchase a mobile phone?

How can I identify the best mobile. What are the configurations that most users need? Which is the best mobile phone? Nokia, LG, Samsung or other. Please explain. What is vodaphone? Is their any advanage of buying it? Which is the best showroom in Trivandrum to buy a mobile phone?|||Well before you buy you should browse around for prices, functions, durability and what are your needs regarding cellphones and then pay for th ebest thing you can get considering all this. That's what everyone told me to do, but I was a bit hasty so now I am suffering. According to most peole I know Nokia is the best most durable.|||Nokia is good . Its value remains very high even aft years . You may want to purchase from singapore online store . The price they offer was quite cheap . FYI you may want to visit 88db website for the price|||Vodafone is a Network provider, like O2, Orange T-Mobile and 3UK.

Things to look for is talktime/ standby time, has it got Bluetooth, can I expand the memory ( get a memory card for it) has it got an MP3 player, is it 3g (third generation) that allows video phones %26amp; messages. Can I connect it to a pc, has it got a camera most phones are around 2mp mark, some are 5mp, do i want an operating system on it? some handsets are classed as smartphones because of the operating system and they do much more than make calls and send texts. There are 2 types of operating systems Windows mobile/ pocket pc which are a cut down version of a pc they have msn messenger, internet explorer, windows media player just like a pc.

the other operating system is symbian favoured by Nokia for example the Nokia N95 is symbian smrartphone, which is like a computer in your pocket. It has stnav built in mp3 players etc.
