What's the difference between an iphone 4 AIR mobile phone and Just an iphone 4?

Hi there!

Can ayone tell me what the difference is between an iphone 4 AIR mobile phone and a standard iphone 4. Thanks!|||Theres no difference.....

The iPhone AIR isnt actually a phone per se. The 'AIR' part of it refers to a case which goes over the handset and acts as a rechargeable accessory for the battery on the phone.

Basically it is just a standard iPhone 4 which has a case over it which is bought seperately.

Only one model of the iPhone 4 exists (different storage capacities) but only one iPhone 4|||There is only a iPhone 4, the iPhone 4 AIR mobile phone is another fashion name.

How can i find mobile phone number of a person in singapore?

I need a mobile phone number of a friend in Singapore.

I know his name only.

I dont have any other contact number.

Is it possible to find the mobile phone number of a person in Singapore..?

Is there any directory like site for mobile numbers in Singapore..?|||Why not try asking some of his other friends?|||As far as I know, a mobile number is the same as having an unlisted land line number. I know of no way to find that unless the person themselves gives it to you. Sorry.|||It is possible as there are only 3 telephone providers in Singapore, namely Singtel, Starhub and M1.

They should have the numbers however, there are binding by "Secrecy act" where they can not disclose people number without a valid reason.

I guess you can approach them by giving your reason and your contact to get the person contact you rather than you contact him /her.

Good luck!

How do celebrities keep their personal mobile phone numbers secret?

Every celebrity like movie stars, foot ball players.... etc have a lot of friends, relatives, support staff, sponsors, media people, officials of various companies and government etc who interact with them. They all happen to know the personal mobile phone number of the celebrity. Then how come it is not leaked to the common man on the street. How do they manage to keep it a secret?|||simple. they don't give their numbers out to strangers. and to those that they do give their numbers out to, they not the type to backstab them because their relationship means something. it would be a breach of conduct for all others|||Usually they have several phones.. a "work" number, a "personal" number, and an extra line or two for family, other business ect. Their personal number is only given out to the people closest to them..

And, sometimes their numbers ARE leaked - and than changed immediately. I remember a few months ago, someone hacked into a celebrity agent's blackberry and leaked 35 phone numbers (all famous people, I believe Lady GaGa and Lebron James was on that list as well).

However.. if your smart (and sneaky) the average joe CAN get the phone number to a celebrity. When I was in the 6th grade, I (somehow by the grace of god) managed to get the phone number to AJ Mclean from the backstreet boys just by using the operator on a pay-phone. (my girls and I had the biggest crush on him). It took several tries, and about $3 in quarters, but by using the basic information the celebrities give in their interviews, you can find out a lot.. All we had to go on was his mothers first and last name, home town and birth-date. When we called her, we asked if "Aj was home". She asked us how we got her number, and said that he wasn't home, and that we shouldn't be calling %26amp; told us we should be in school. We never actually spoke to him directly, but it was pretty cool none-the-less. We tried the same tactic a few weeks later with a few more of our friends, and the operator told us their number had been put on a privacy/do not call list.. so they would no longer accept out-of-area calls. :(|||One thing probably don't do is answer the phone unless the call is

from somebody on their phonebook and rely on their voicemail a

lot.|||They change their numbers regularly, and only give the new numbers to people who can be trusted.|||They actually leak it out strategically.|||They probably have 2 or more phones!!!

How do I call a british mobile # from my Verizon phone?

I live in the US and wish to call a british mobile phone from my mobile phone. I do not have a home phone only my cell phones. I have Cingular and Verizon. I prefer to use the Verizon. Thanks!|||UK mobile #s all begin 07, and have 11 digits.

If you want to call or SMS (text) a UK mobile, from anywhere in the world, you simply drop the 0 from the start of the UK number and replace it with 0044.

So the number 07812345678, would be converted to: 00447812345678.

This conversion also works within the UK (0044 = 0 within the UK).|||i have the verizon, and i use a pre purchased phone card to make the calls to a mobile # out of usa.

i hope this helps you|||dial +44 in front of the number and drop the first 0 and that should work, like to call 0123456789 you would dial +4423456789 etc etc.|||I don't think it's different than calling a landline. I dial the UK as 01144 then the 10 digit number.

Good luck and don't stay on the line for too long...it can be expensive ;)

Which mobile phone company has the fastest internet?

I am about to switch mobile phone company, and would like to have the fastest internet on my phone.

I am also considering between iPhone or staying with Blackberry.

Any suggestions as to what is the best combination?

I have available in my area (Florida), Tmobile, Cingular/At%26amp;t, Sprint, MetroPCS and Verizon (I think )

Thanks.|||Go with Verizon they have the best service as well as data

What's the difference between 3g and wifi on a mobile phone?

i'm looking to buy a new mobile phone

i preferably want to be able to get on to the internet wherever - can i do this when a mobile has wifi?|||3g refers to the cell phone service - their towers. It's generally slower for web browsing than wifi.

Wifi refers to an actual internet connection (like you would have through fios or comcast). Your phone has the ability to connect to your internet (or any unsecured wirless networks you come across) and access the internet that way (similar to the way a computer does).

Often, if you use 3G to access the internet, you'll be paying for a data plan for your phone, which makes your monthly bill more expensive, but guarantees you internet access anywhere your cell phone can get service.

*Edited to add*: if your phone only accesses the internet through wifi, then you'll be able to get internet on your phone anywhere that has a wifi (wireless internet) connection. Many restaurants/libraries/stores have wifi. Many houses have wifi. But you probably wont be able to have internet access as you're driving down the road.|||3G stands for third generation, referring to third generation cell phone technology.

A phone with WiFi indicates that the phone can connect to wireless local area networks.

You can connect to the internet with either technology.

The key differences will be:

3G - Connect anywhere your wireless provider has data coverage (larger area). You will incur data charges without the appropriate data plan.

WiFi - Connect anywhere a wireless network is available to you; this can be at your home, the mall, McDonald's, etc (more location dependent than 3G). As long as the wireless network is being provided for free (many business offer free WiFi hot spots), no cost will be incurred.|||You can consider buying

What percentage of people get turned down for a mobile phone contract?

I've been having alot of problems getting a mobile phone on contract, as have friends, just curious really as to what percentage of people roughly get turned down when applying for a mobile phone on contract|||My friends and I pretty much all qualified for 5 phone line contracts (like we needed them) with Verizon when we were teenagers. I had very little credit at the time (albeit no debt, late payments etc) so I was very surprised. Verizon tends to give contracts to everyone so check with them if you have not already. Not sure your age or credit history but if you have absolutely no credit (ie have never even had a credit card in your name) I would start by getting one as this helps build credit. Good luck

A Video(97Mb) is being able to play in Nokia phones. But the same video is not being played in china mobile phone having camera. Can anyone help me.|||Nokia phones uses 3gp video format while as other phones may use avi file format .

So you need to use a 3gp to avi convertor and convert the video to avi format and then use.

you can download many free , search in google as " 3gp to avi convertor free"

How to recognize if an IP address comes from a mobile phone or computer/laptop?

How to recognize if an IP address comes from a mobile phone or computer/laptop? I am particularly interested in this IP address 178.103.40.56, its ISP is T-mobile. I am wondering if it comes from a pc or mobile phone?|||Well, basically, you can't (with any actual certainty) tell what kind of device is in use from an IP address on the basis of an IP address, even a static one (in the instance of your question, it'll be a dynamic assigned one).

The IP you picked up, will be ISP issued and subsequently, it has no actual physical ties to the device it's acting as an wide area or local area network address.

If we assumed, say in the instance of a direct connection (which this wont be), where the primary network connection is direct between 'terminal' and the TNC (aka cable modem, dsl modem, cellular transceiver based modem) - then the ip only points to the point of connection of the primary connected device (i.e. the TNC/Terminal Node Controller aka the modem in most cases).

The actual 'terminal' could anything from a subsidary connection slaved off that primary connected device (through a router/hub/virtual connection sharing device on a computer). And this could be millions of layers deep, or one layer deep, or the immediate secondary IP protocol (but not always TCP/IP protocol) device following the node (TNC).

So the nearest you can essentially get to even get within a galaxy-wide proximity of positive ID of a device (unique to the device) by IP address, is it's network MAC.

But a MAC does not identify a device positively and uniquely. You can temporarily change a MAC address and substitute any compatible valid format MAC address to a device (which is lost if you cycle/reset the device or power it off) - so for example, i could make the Netgear N wifi adaptor i have in use currently look like any other device (MAC wise) by changing it's MAC address to another and reconnecting to the network.

The nearest thing you'll ever get to a positive ID of a device ,without actually catching it physically in the act of operation and communicating - this includes wired and wireless devices), is if it contains an interrogatable unique ID that's an hardware instance identifier or authorisation ID type 'device'.

A good example of that, is the IMEI of a cellular phone or cellular transceiver device (if we talk GSM/UTMS and similar systen telephony %26amp; telegraphy devices).

However, the equipment with such an ID (two parts in the case of a cellular device, IMEI %26amp; the indentity of the SIM), only really presents this info normally via interrogating it locally via a diagonstics command sequence, via a data bus request, or a particular authenticated packet request from the cellular provider (remember, not all cellular ISP's are actually the telcom).

So in the world of cold hard reality - unless you have the means to interrogate locally (in LAN terms) such as a telco would for it's subscriber connections, without highly illegal (in most cases, in many parts of the world) methods that more or less involve masquarading as part of the telco's security/metering systems (nowhere near as easy as common myths would entail it to be), your methods at best stop at finding the translation of the local area (nearest UBR or similar) location (serial number or coded name for the location) point of access as it would back-translate from it's wide area identity.

A common myth is that a connection, active, can be literally traced to a pin-point actual provable location %26amp; terminal and user in absolute terms - from anywhere else on the internet (sufficient to give the means that if you were physically caught in the act, and the results of means and methods and source could be unquestionably pinned on you), is simply not true.

Hopefully, that covers the question and associated factors etc - the scope of info on the subject that can be got (with cooperation) would fill a server or three, let alone a minimal text allowance on this Q%26amp;A site. I will not quote my sources for the security of others who legally provided me information and of the legal methods they used (under full legal authority) for security in IT %26amp; Telecoms.|||Yeah, Christopher gives the good answer, in a word, you can't tell whether an IP address comes from a mobile phone or computer/laptop, there are many varieties, for example, if you use one VPN on your mobile phone, when you get an IP address comes from that mobile phone, but in fact, that mobile phone had used VPN instead of its real

How can I transfer files between my PC and mobile phone using a wireless network?

Here's the problem: my phone has bluetooth but my PC does not. My PC has infrared but my phone does not. The only thing they have in common is Wireless connection. I want to transfer mp3 from my PC to my mobile phone. I tried sending it to my YM mail and opening it on my phone but it still didn't work. Any ideas?|||There really is no way to transfer the things that you have on a bluetooth phone, to a computer that does not have the bluetooth option on it. My best suggestion would be to go over to somebodies house that you know has a bluetooth enabled computer and try transferring it there. Or you can always buy a new computer that has Bluetooth on it, but that is taking it to extremes. Once you have transferred the files to the persons computer...email it, so that you can access it from your computer. Make sure that after it is transferred(if it's private stuff or information) to permanently delete it from his/her computer.|||using bluetooth adapter, you can transfer files between PC and phone.|||You can buy a usb bluetooth for you PC.

What should I do with this frustrating new mobile phone?

I'm with this mobile phone company. I've just re-newed my contract and got new phone, but didn't like the phone after a week and exchanged with another phone. The new phone is even worse and I want to return it. The problem is they don't show you some live phone demo or how it works. How do i register a mobile phone in another country?

We have a mobile phone registered in Spain. We longer live in Spain and have no wish to continue topping up. Is there any way the existing balance can be transfered to another territory before we lose it?|||Probably not. Its not clear if you are on contract or pay as you go -if its pay as you go you can use the phone in another country until your credit is used up. The phone is probably locked in to the network provider and will then not accept a sim card from another network. Best plan is to get phone unlocked (too much info to list here, google the process) and then you can use any sim card. If its contract then see the terms of your contract, you will be locked in until it expires, then you can follow the unlock route. Some of the bigger companies (eg Vodaphone) may allow a country switch, you'll have to talk to them about that.

Mobile phone for younger child, want a way to dial out but not receive calls?

Was wondering if there was a mobile phone or mobile phone plan that allowed a handset to make calls to a selected number of phone numbers and not to receive calls. This is so i can give my daughter who is quite young an emergency phone, they can call out to me but not to anyone else. And they cant receive calls so they cant accidently be harrased by anyone.

I think there is such a phone in the US but wondering if there is a way to achieve this in the UK?|||Bloody hell, give your kid some freedom. If you feel she's old enough to go out alone and you feel she's old enough to have a phone than surely she is old enough to have the responsibility that comes with having a phone.

Who is she going to be harrassed by?

And why don't you just set a credit limit, so if she calls/texts friends once her credit is up, it's up. She'll learn to use it reponsibly.

Either let her have a phone, or don't, if you think she's too young. No point in just having a phone if she can only call you?|||You could enquire throught you're current or other mobile suppliers.

Ask if there is any options to bar all incoming calls.

*there might be an option under the settings tab in the mobile options to this, have a look.

Also ask if there is an option to bar out going calls excluding 1 or 2 numbers.

To be honest i havent heard of these option before and i've been in telecoms for a couple of years here in the UK.

I know you most prob could bar all incoming or all outgoing...?

Can I cancel a mobile phone contract if I have terminal cancer?

In the past month I've been diagnosed with cancer and the outlook is bleak.

Just looking to tie up some things so that when the time comes there is less of a burden on my family. Is it possible to cancel a mobile phone contract under these conditions? I suppose I'll have to write to Orange?

Regards.|||I don't think having cancer will allow you to terminate the contract. however I suspect that Orange will void the contract on your death so it should not be an issue for your relatives to have to deal with.

if you find that you are no longer using the phone and you decide you want to try to cancel the contract its no bad thing to write to Orange, state your case and see if they will as a gesture void the contract... but if they do it will be because they are taking a compassionate view rahter than a purely legalistic view|||technically they can ask for full payment of contract to run etc.

however they are human etc so if you can get a letter confirming this form your doctor I am sure they will do so for humanitarian and good public relations. easy way is to simply phone them first !|||I'm sure you can, i saw something about this on The One Show.|||Microsoft Outlook is bleak.|||Sorry, but I think one has to be dead to cancel one of those parasite contracts.|||Oh sad ,, Sorry for you .. Is there an easy way of transferring mobile phone numbers from a database to a mobile phone?

Would like to do bulk texting on mobile phone but I dont want to have to enter each number manually. Is there an easier way?|||Could you not sync the phone with a pc? My phone lets me send texts using my computer when it's plugged in. This would allow you to simply copy the numbers from a database, but to do this without manually copying and pasting each one might be tricky as there won't be compatibility between the phone's pc software and the database.

There may be a piece of software that will enable you to bulk send texts http://www.smscaster.com/ or similar (try searching in google to find more), but if these don't work you could try using a piece of macro recording software. These allow you to record a set task and when the macro is run it will automatically repeat the task you recorded. If all else fails a lot of companies let you send bulk texts online if you pay them a subscription fee.

Good luck
