What mobile phone price plan would be best for me?

I have a 3G mobile phone that can work with any sim card. I don't speak much, but do need a light data plan, as I occassionally send small GPRS messages (1KB a message).

Don't mind to sign a contract, but would prefer not to, as I often travel for long periods of time, and would like to avoid fixed monthly charges

when my phone is off.

Any idea?|||Have a look at the new orange plans, Racoon Dolphin and two others I forget the name of and also look into an o2 genie sim card which you top up with 拢10 once a month an you get 300 free texts, upto 1g of free download and after 6 months of being with o2 you get o2 treats free minutes and things!|||Have alook at this site. They are part of the carphonewarehouse group and their phones are cheap. They work by cashback.

http://www.e2save.com/?money4me5758494|||There's a deal on 3 that works out at 拢9.99 per month, again via cashback. You get 400 anytime mins, 250 texts, 25 video calling mins, 25 MMS (PICTURE OR VIDEO) and 拢5 worth of downloads. With a Sony Ericsson K610i free, stunnin offer, one of my mates got one. ... oh and you get your first six months minutes and texts doubled to 800 and 500
