How does a mobile phone know that incoming call is for itself in a cell?
Transmission tower sends out a signal in radius when an incoming call is made for a mobile in that cell? is that how it works? and if that call is for my phone , it notifies me by ringing...and when i receive that call my phone transmits signals back to tower...? Is that how it works? or I'm missing something?|||Your phone only converts signals. Every sim has its own unique number. Suppose your unique number is xyz and a frnd calls you. Then the mobile tower transmits signal which is only acceptable by sim with unique number xyz. Thats how it works. Theres a whole book of more than 600 pages in this which we read in elec and communication in 5th sem.|||ask that verizon guy
